JAPEX held “Kids Open Office Day” for Elementary School Age Children of employees at Head Office

Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) held the "Kids Open Office Day" for the elementary school age of our employees at our head office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, on March 29, 2023. It was the first time we held an event for employees' families during working time at the head office.

The concept of this event was for children to become the "opposite position", who are usually being visited on parents' visiting day at school. Held as a program for children to see their father/mother and their colleagues at the office during the working time which they usually do not see, 26 children from 17 families joined the event.

As a program for business experiences, the children attended a class about petroleum and tried to wear work clothes and safety helmets. After that, they visited the President's room to greet with President and experienced sitting in the President's chair as the "President." They had various experiences, such as seeking their father/mother on the office floors for the mission to take the photo and greetings their father/mother's colleagues with business cards with their names, and walk around several points in the office with collecting stamps.

JAPEX will make further efforts to promote communication between employees and their families for deeper understanding of the work and increase employees' engagement with the company.
