Origin of oil and natural gas, and how they are discovered and produced are outlined below.

Domestic Oil and Natural Gas Fields

JAPEX currently produces oil and natural gas at 10 oil and gas fields in Japan. In addition, we have engaged in development of additional areas around existing gas fields, and exploration activities aimed at discovery of new oil and gas fields.

Overseas E&P Projects

JAPEX is also involved in activities to develop and produce oil and natural gas overseas, including offshore and unconventional development projects, and thus, has been accumulating expertise in E&P through these activities.
