JAPEX held “Kids Summer Open Office Day in 2026” (Information)

Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) organized the "Kids Summer Open Office Day in 2026" for the elementary school children of employees of JAPEX and its group companies at our head office (Sapia Tower, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on July 28, 2026, with a total of 13 children from 18 families.

This event invites children, who are usually ones being observed during school visits like parents' day, to visit our office aiming for children to learn about company's operations and business activities and see their parents as well as their coworkers at work. The event began in 2023, and this is the fifth time. JAPEX has scheduled the event for late July as useful time for independent research during summer vacation and for creating memories, based on positive feedback from employees and their families who participated in previous events.

The participating children experienced the following programs.

・Business card exchanging practice

・Visiting  parents' desk and exchanging business cards

・Taking a class on CCUS

・An interactive event for observing and touching models of oil well drilling tools and extracted substances (Underground rock and crude oil samples)

・Visiting the President's Office

・Summer Festival Events (Ring Toss, Struck out, etc.)

By providing an opportunity for the children and employees to engage in conversation through work experience, we hope to deepen interaction among employees, and energize the workplace as a whole. JAPEX plans to hold more events for kids in the future, incorporating ideas from employees.

JAPEX will put further efforts into promoting communication between employees and their families by deepening their families' understanding of the work and increasing employees' engagement with the company.
