JAPEX held “Kids Open Office Day in Summer” for Children of Employees at Head Office

Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) held the "Kids Open Office Day in Summer" for the elementary school age of our employees at our head office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, on July 28, 2023, with the participants of 23 kids (16 elementary school student and 7 Unschooled) of 14 families.

Due to the positive response to the first event in March 2023, this event was held as the second "Kids Open Office" at the time to help free research and memories during the summer vacation.

The concept of this event was the same as the first event that the children became the "opposite position," who are usually being visited on parents' visiting day at school. Kids experienced the following programs during the office hour to know the parents' jobs and see their father/mother and colleagues at the office that they usually do not see.

• Name Card Exchanging Practice
• Visit and Name Card Exchange at Parents' Office
• "Work-Card"Collecting Rally in Various Offices in Head Office
• Trial Fitting of Working Uniform and Helmet
• Summer Festival Events: Ring Toss, Struck out, Paper Sumo Game, etc.

At this time, the event was mainly planned and held by personnel volunteers. JAPEX will organize the event for kids annually in Summer, incorporating ideas from personnel.

JAPEX will make further efforts to promote communication between employees and their families for deeper understanding of the work and increase employees' engagement with the company.
