Joined the Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights (JaCER) as a regular member company ～Strengthening Responses to Human Rights Issues through the "Engagement and Remedy Platform"～

Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) has joined the Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights ("JaCER") as a regular member and has begun utilizing the "Engagement and Remedy Platform" (hereinafter the "Platform") provided by JaCER.

JAPEX has maintained compliance reporting and harassment consultation hotlines for receiving reports and consultations from its officers and employees. Through the newly introduced Platform, JAPEX will now be able to receive reports from a broader range of stakeholders and enhance our human rights response system.

JaCER provides the Platform, a non-judicial platform for grievance redress based on the "United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights". JaCER is an organization which receives complaints and reports on human rights issues through the platform and aims to support and promote the grievance redress of member companies from a specialist perspective.

JAPEX will address human rights issues by ensuring fair and transparent responses to human rights-related claims from stakeholders involved in our business activities, in accordance with our Human Rights Policy.
