Canada Shale Gas Project

JAPEX has been participating in the shale gas project in the North Montney region of British Columbia, Canada since April 2013, and has been developing and producing shale gas together with the project operator, subsidiary of the Malaysian national oil company, PETRONAS.

Average production rate of shale gas for 2018 was approximately 13 million cubic meters per day, and the produced shale gas is being sold to the western Canada market.

Significant volume of shale gas assets has been confirmed in the area. To maximize the value of this asset, we ensure to prioritize the investment by focusing on the high economic potential area, considering surrounded market condition.
