Consolidated subsidiary Japex Libya Ltd. holds two blocks acquired in 2005 through a public auction: the 176-4 block, southwest area of the Murzuq region; and the 40-3/4 block, in the coastal area of the Mediterranean Sea. In 2007, Japex Libya conducted 2D seismic survey in 176-4 block. It also conducted 2D and 3D seismic surveys in 40-3/4 block.
