Activities Chayvo oil and gas field started oil production in October 2005. In February 2007, the project reached its peak gross production target of 250,000 barrels per day (around 40,000 kiloliters per day) and achieved a cumulative crude oil production volume of 100 million barrels in January 2008. Following that, Odoptu oil and gas field started oil production in September 2010. Crude oil produced at Sakhalin 1 is exported from an oil export terminal in DeKastri to international markets as SOKOL oil, while natural gas produced from the project is sold domestically in Russia.
